Ford Model 18(V-8)


The Model 18 was the first low-priced car in America.The first V‑8 was rated at 65 hp ,but power increased significantly with improvements to the carburetor and ignition in later years.The model 18 offered 14 different body styles:the roadster,coupe,sport coupe,tudor and fordor sedans,cabriolet and phaeton.In 1933 the Ford revised a design of the model 18,the grill and hood lovers were revised with curving down and forward.The engine also being revised the power were increased to 75 hp(the model 18 from 1932 had a 65hp).In 1934 the model 18 was again revised,the V-8 engine is now offering 85hp also the grill and hood was revised.The Model 18 had a four speed manual transmission(3 forward ,1 reverse).The Ford made 4,320,446 cars in all three revisions.This car got famed also  as a car of  ``Bony & Clyde``.
